say about this project....
SALFORD city council in partnership with Salford University have commissioned artist Tom Pearman to work on a public art scheme.

A walking route, 'TRINITY LINK', has been identified and developed over recent years from the River Irwell at the Adelphi Foot Bridge through Trinity and finishing in Manchester City Centre.

The aim is to create a safe pedestrian route for residents, as well as encouraging improved health and access to the area.

Tom's project is concerned with the signage and visibility of the route. Involving local people is crucial to the project’s success and Tom has been working with the community to create permanent creative signs and markers along the route. Alongside Tom there are five smaller bursary commissions for newly graduated artists from the Salford’s University's Visual Arts and Culture degree course.

Artist Tom Pearman has been developing the project from summer '06 through to summer '07.
