'PRINTING ANGLES'
Commissioned following an open competition, this large-scale architectural glass artwork was created for Logistik Limited’s Shoreditch offices
The work explores how new colours and patterns are produced when coloured shapes overlap. As the dots intersect, they generate different optical effects depending on their angle and position. These relationships are based on CMYK printing angles, while the overall geometry of the composition takes its form from the shape and structure of the building’s facade.
The 10 × 3 metre installation translates ideas associated with print, colour separation and graphic construction into an architectural scale, allowing the glazing itself to become part of the artwork.
