Title DOORS AND WINDOWS

This project explores architectural features in both residential and commercial settings, focusing on elements such as doors, windows, aerials, and doorbells. Using a 3D printer, Tom is experimenting with a range of mixed media, including cardboard, coloured lighting gels, and film, integrating these with CAD and 3D model-making processes. The work draws inspiration from the aesthetic of vintage cartoons, particularly looped scenes where repeating doorways and other interior features are presented in the background during ‘chase scenes’.

The next stage of the project involves developing the models further by examining the repeat doors and windows configurations found in flats, in contrast to the often visible unique suggestions of interiors.
