This artwork directly relates to Manga imagery and the workshops that I undertook with Salford youngsters with the Salford Young Carers at the Angel Centre. I found the 'street' ethic that can be found with Manga imagery provided a good stimulus for youngsters as it has a close relation to their experiences of being a teenager in an urban environment like Salford.

This artwork relates to the theme of postcards and taking a holiday or a journey, like walking the route, where on would need a break form their journey and take a seat and have a cup of tea and write a postcard. It is also planned that a set of printed mugs will be made for contributors to the postcard workshop held at Highview Residential Home.
