Large scale glazing commission, for Bethlem Royal Hospital / Trust Arts. Located in central ‘social space’ of the hospital, incorporating the chosen theme of the seasons. Graphic cartoons of the jungle inspired the imagery used. By employing this approach, Pearman was attempting to represent palms and other thick forest vegetation as something marauding and overwhelming, and beautiful.
